Client Policies and Rights

 

Appointment Cancellation and No Show Policy

We have a 24 hr cancellation policy. Give us 24 hrs notice if you have to change, cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel within 24 hrs or do not show up for your scheduled appointment you will still be expected to pay the appointment fee, on or before your next visit.



Lateness Policy

Arrive at your appointment on time. If you are late, your session will be shorter. If you are more than 15 minutes late know that we may not be able to accommodate you. If we cannot accommodate you, it will be considered a missed appointment and you will be expected to pay for your session.

Practitioner and Client Rights



Reiki, Massage and other bodywork sessions are given for the purpose of stress reduction and relaxation. Said sessions are not substitutes for medical or psychological diagnosis or treatment. Reiki, massage and bodywork practitioners do not diagnose conditions, prescribe, perform medical treatment, or interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. It is recommended that a client see a licensed physician, or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment they may have.



If a client is uncomfortable in any way during a massage, reiki or bodywork session, they have the right to question their practitioner and/or request that the session be terminated. Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made by the client will result in immediate termination of the session.



Privacy

Personal information will only be viewed by a client's practitioner(s) and the clinic director; it will be kept strictly confidential unless the client gives written permission otherwise.

Gratuities

Many new clients ask our office about gratuities. Unlike a spa service, giving a gratuity to your practitioner is not expected for our therapeutic sessions.

At the same time, if you feel you really want to give your practitioner a gratuity, they will not be offended. They will gladly accept it.
